Entry qualifications
Who can apply.
Minimum academic requirements vary by programme. Make sure your prior qualifications meet the entry threshold before you apply.
2 or more "A" Level papers
Required for State Registered Nursing, Higher National Diploma and Midwifery programmes.
4 or more "O" Level papers
Required for the Nurse Assistants programme.
Application process
Two routes into DASMHP.
Depending on the programme you choose, you'll either sit a national entrance exam or apply directly to the school.
Route 1
Government competitive entrance exam
For SRN and NAS, sit the official competitive entrance examination organised by the Ministry of Public Health.
Route 2
Direct application to DASMHP
For HND in Nursing and Midwifery, apply directly to the school with your completed form and supporting documents.
How to apply
Four simple steps.

Pick up an application form
Collect a hard-copy application form from the school office at Kosala VI (behind Hope Parma Hospital), or request one when you visit.

Gather your documents
Photocopies of certificates, ID card, passport-size photos, and your application letter (see the official list).

Submit your application
Hand in your completed form and supporting documents to the admissions office at the school.

Wait for our response
Our admissions team reviews each application carefully. You will receive a response within 7 working days.

What to bring with your application.
All applicants to DASMHP must submit the following documents along with their completed application form.

Photocopy of certificates
Your "A" or "O" Level certificates as appropriate to your programme.

Photocopy of National Identity Card (NIC)
Both sides of your current NIC.

Official birth certificate.

4 Passport-size photos (4×4)
Recent photos with a plain white background.

Collected from the school office at Kosala VI, Kumba (behind Hope Parma Hospital).

Application letter
A short, hand-written letter addressed to the Principal stating your interest.
All documents must be in clear, legible photocopies. Incomplete files will not be processed. Originals may be requested for verification at any stage of the admissions process.
